Phil chose to do CrossFit Games Open 12.5.  Let’s get some people to do this workout with Phil at 6:00 PM.  It really is fun!

The CrossFit Open is only weeks away.  CrossFit Open 2017 registration begins January 12.  Click HERE for more information.  For those interested, we are going to form a team.  For those not-so-interested, we are still going to program the Open workout for the entire gym.  We do this for several reasons.  1) so we can remain a community and do it together.  2) Because when it comes down to it, it’s JUST a CrossFit workout, and only YOU put the pressure to make it harder on yourself!

Strength:  Thruster.  Work up to a 1rm for the day

Conditioning: “CrossFit Games Open 12.5/11.6″
As many reps as possible in 7:00 of:
– 3 Thrusters (100/ 65#)
– 3 Chest to Bar Pull Ups
– 6 Thrusters
– 6 Chest to Bar Pull Ups
– 9 Thrusters
– 9 Chest to Bar Pull Ups
– 12 Thrusters
– 12 Chest to Bar Pull Ups
– 15 Thrusters
– 15 Chest to Bar Pull Ups
– 18 Thrusters
– 18 Chest to Bar Pull Ups
– 21 Thrusters
– 21 Chest to Bar Pull Ups…
This is a timed workout. If you complete the round of 21, go on to 24. If you complete 24, go on to 27, etc.

*Optional Strength:  Wendler Week 2 Day 4:

– Power Clean
70% x 2
80% x 2
90% x 2+

(When you see 5+, 3+, 2+,or 1+, that means you do the max reps you can manage with that weight, with the goal being at least 5 reps.  If you go higher than you’re attempting to set a personal rep record at that weight, but the lifts should maintain the strictest of form).
