Buck Sullivan
Buck Sullivan has always been passionate about athletics. From a very young age Buck started competing in everything from soccer to table tennis, and as Buck began to grow as an athlete, he realized he had a love for moving heavy things quickly and efficiently. Buck started competing in shot put, discus, hammer, and the weight throw early in his high school career.

Buck, with his 16 plus years of experience competing and coaching the throwing events in track and field, has competed all over the county as well as abroad. He has spent time training at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA, and has learned from and trained with many world class coaches. He finished his collegiate throws career at the University of Oklahoma, but with a desire to continue heavy athletics.

Currently, Buck competes in the heavy athletics portion of the Scottish Highland Games. Recently, Buck found a passion for CrossFit. He noticed, in the Highland Games, an athlete must be efficient in many different functional movements. Buck saw that the CrossFit program, at The Compound, was the perfect training platform to improve as a whole and not just in one specific area. When Buck started training at The Compound he was a heavy 260; a year and a half later he is a lean 190. Buck loves to share his passion for training correctly and effectively, in addition, he thrives on helping others in as many ways a possible.

Buck is a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer, USATF Level 1 Certified, and First Aid/CPR Certified.
