Monday 8.03.15 – can you set a Push Press PR?

Strength:  Push Press 1-1-1-1-1-1

WOD: AMRAP in 11:00
– 5 KB Snatch/ each arm (53/35#)
– 5 Strict Chin Ups
– 5 Burpees

Notes:  For the WOD, the snatches and burpees you should be able to move through those almost non stop.
For the strict chin ups, if you don’t have strict, work on trying to improve your kipping chin ups.  By improving the chin ups, I mean trying to string together more reps, or trying to make your kip a little tighter.  Remember, many people doing strict chin ups will be down to one or two reps, so if you are working on kipping, 1-2 reps at a time is still better than resorting to the bands.
And if you do not yet have kipping pull ups down, ring rows are still the way to go.  But if you usually set your rings at a certain height, try lowering them just a little more for today’s workout since the reps each round are lower than usual.
